Chess games

Are you someone who likes to play chess?

Then you should try out this website

They provide chess games for people who love to play chess,
yet find it's hard to spare time for it.

how they did it?
The games can be play on hours basic, daily basic or even longer time as you wish per move.
In simple word, after one move from you, the opponent has 3 days (if you set it to be 3 days) time to has his move done.
Same goes to you, you got 3 days time to think for your move after the opponent move.

I bet you are thinking,
doesn't that a waste of time that one move required 3 days to make it move?
Then the game will be like forever to comes to an end.

You are definitely right.
but of course they foresee this type of problem,
and that's the reason you can have multiple games going on in the same time!

Wow!
and it's unlimited! ( I assume only, because the most i've experienced is 40+ games running in the same time and I never try more than that, that's a bit overwhelming already and I bet you won't play more than that too! SO, who cares whether it is unlimited or not?)

best of all,
the website is totally free!
unless you want more "vacation time" (an automatic system that put you on vacation time when you are away from the games for too long (eg: more than 3 days), gold members enjoy more vacation time and this features prevent you from losing your game in case you are on a vacation and have no internet access) and enjoy more extra special features,
otherwise, a free membership should serves you just right.

Why am I promoting this website?
Not on a money stance but simply wanting more friends to play chess and
i think this is a good lifelong hobby!

Come and JOIN~ Ce laviees!~

Gradually and suddenly

It's has been a "long" while since I last in contact with DOTA.

If you ask me when, I can't tell you the exact date too.
I am not sure either when and how it worked out this way.

It seems like everything happened in a blink of eyes,
and it's like I'm so craving in play Dota today but quit it on the next day immediately.

It is also true if I say I quit it gradually.
I devoted my time lesser and lesser on it and just somehow,
I quit it. Not absolutely literally quiting it in the sense that NO MORE playing.
but it is rather no more addictive like how I used to.
from going there every weekend, it is now only once in a month.
for most of time, there is not even a game in that 30 days or 1800 hours.
A dramatics change I assume.

Definitely it is!
CoOl thing is that, I don't feel sad for it,
though I don't feel happy also.
It is just like something that's not important passing through your life.
it comes, you grab it, let go and continue your life like nothing remarkable has ever happens.

Anyhow, it did impact my life significantly.
To be honest, I am proud that I am good at it once upon a time.
It will be written in my own history.
As something glory, but as mistake made too.
Dota gave me good memory, like coin have two side, it gave me too the opposite side.

My life ruined once, and reconstructing now.
Friends told me that not to be so extremist toward it.
But sometimes it is not about the extremes side, but more on how badly you want the change.
And frankly speaking,
there is time where I want to get rid of it so badly that I announced no Dota anymore.
True is, I remained static.
No change is happened.

And to my surprise, without any declaration, I work it out this time.
Just channeled my energy onto other activities,
and this addictive spell dispel.

Night still young, but I'm not.
Good night.

Be in-group.

I am shitting myself, from being out-group to in-group.
And yeah, I never feel better than this.

What is the group I referring to?
stop the guess, it's basketball.
I've been playing basketball since late in form 4 till now.
Although it is not a constant effort-there is some "break time" in between,
it is still a activity that I devoted much of my time.

And there is some big transition in the way I play the games,
it changed accordingly with the players I mixed to.
At first, I am fond to run.
Yeah, run!
Not shooting, ball controlling, or rebounding, but rather just run.
When you are someone who not "pro" in either things,
your only left option is to run.
As a means of distracting opponents,
to the ball passed to you and immediately you pass to someone else,
because you are worry.
Worry that the ball will gone if it's under your control.

Afterward, I found a "talent" in me.
I put quotation marks is because, I not sure either if it is a talent so called.
Or merely anyone else can do it.
My hand is fast, in term of stealing ball.
I found this after told by my teammates.
They said, I am good at it.
With the praises surround, there is this kind of feeling
- at least I got some "superpower", I can do something in this group.
I am not otherwise someone who disabled.
I started to really work hard on it.
I focus on stealing ball, enjoying in guarding the opponents.
Because every successful stealing added another proud smile on my face.
It excites me much like I've beat the opponents down.

I shoot ball, with two hands exert almost equal strength on the ball, previously.
it entered, surprisingly.
it is no more a matter of chance.
Using "feeling" to shoot the ball, my accuracy was among the best, in my group.
This was also told by them, of course, and soon enough, I fell in love doing it too.
I became a point-shooter from there on, giving my best shot one after another.
Few days right before our inter-school competition when I am in form 5.
I suffered dengue and later in early form 6, I happened to have motor accident.
Driven a motorbike, I banged someone, who also on the bike.
the funniest thing is that, he stepped another few steps forward while waiting to come out from the junction, and he did that once he saw me moving so f*king fast from the straight road.
that's few stepped is the main cause for this "bang" to happen and it seems he did that on purpose.
that's side topic, just ignored.
after dengue incident and accident, the feeling "lost".
I don't know why, but the accident did cause my left hand wrist "out of its usual position".
doctors did put it back, saying my hands would have unequal length if they continue to grow
with the left hand happens to be shorter.
I shocked after heard that, but don't worry, it look about the same now.
And I don't think I will grow any further, in terms of physical appearance, if any, beards and maturity (but i don't think I have beards either, lol). :P
my shooting accuracy fell significantly, I hate that.
To have something I proud of, been taken away.
Sadness, of course,
for someone who are so in love with basketball at that moment.

Another shift take places.
I trained myself on ball controlling.
On lay-up, one-two-step then get the ball in.
Focus on crossover the opponents, focus on searching over YouTube for cool move,
for instance, "And1".
I rather solo, take control of the ball, than pass it to another person.
Selfish? Perhaps.
But again, I enjoy doing it.
To used all those move that myself considered "cool".
I am not sure whether if was that case in fact.
I just feel self-esteem raised to be able to crossover and get the ball in myself.
I sense isolation, from my teammates.

Slowly, with this group of friends,
a group that I don't normally play with.
I saw something different.
They seem to happier than me.
In the sense that they are enjoying the game more than I do.
At least, they can be able to discuss the game after it ends.
What they did wrong, and how it could be better.
They strongly emphasize team spirit, team work - that game should be done in a group effort.
Existence of me in their team appeared as though two totally different entities in clash.

Things change today,
another transition happened.
I love the concept, that it is only consider a game if teamwork serves as the base.
I learn, and still learning.
But slowly, from out-group, I somehow "sneak" in to be in-group.
How?
By learn the way they play,
by understand what role should be taken when each circumstances arise.
I am unofficially their group, and play like how they play.
And wow, yesterday was the day I felt the most we cooperate well.
The feeling of being understood is really an excitement.
He knows what you going to do, and vice versa, you know what is on their mind too!
And it is much energy-conserved in the sense that you passed the ball around and
you do not need to run around, each person have their role to play with.
Which at the same time, when you do it well, in fast speed mode and smooth,
it work effectively on confusing the opponents and the whole process is even cooler.

I'm loving it.

Bye.

A movie freak

Talking about me?
Exactly!
but wait, this is not the freak that you thinking right now
- crazy about movies, catch certain celebrities on every scene he played,
have whole series as collection and etc.
It should be according to my definition.

I don't really like to watch movies, or in another way of saying, I don't watch much.
Again, to be contradict, I like to watch movies.
I like to watch because the story line is really cool, expressing certain kind of thinking, culture.
I like to watch because it makes time pass real fast.

how about dislikes?
I dislike the time I would probably spend on it.
Or simply, watching movies are really a means of wasting time.
what is the feeling feels like?
like a drug addict regret
after flew back from the heaven realize he has again did something wrong;
like a young couple regret that condom is not worn
after having fun, merely having fun.
Though both of top are never experienced by most of us,
but I am sure you all could exactly empathize me.

*turn around*
Hi! It's me!
The *movie freak!
(note: *is fully in accordance with Phuah's own definition)
What is the "now" me?
Yeah! I no more watching drama, spending hours on it and the next thing I know,
is the time I have to be on bed.
Leaving errands undone today, and of course,
it will be continuous, making tomorrow the same things happen.
Oops! No no, it won't be the same,
because there are more works stacking up for tomorrow.
I am making history, build the super pyramid!

Good thing now, drama-addiction is already a history.
but I really enjoy going cinema watching movies.
Even it is only two of us, I mean, my beloved and I,
I am perfectly okay with it.
Unlike going for KTV, if it is only two of us, I don't really like it,
as I will be sang until I can literally feel my throat isn't there.
It is numb.
I don't understand why I never feel it is a waste of time,
I meant for movies in cinema, though it is about the same
if included the time travel, money-wise and etc.
I might even lose more in that sense.
Yet, I like it.

Few months back, or last year,
there are times where you can easily found me at cinema.
That is the period I watch a lot of movies.
Won lottery?
Sad to say, never, even up till now.

Popcorn in hands, soft drink by the side,
big screen front, freezing air-condition,
wow, it is just fantastic for me.
Maybe I like the feeling as if the big screen is so big that hypnotize me the actors are there acted right in front of me.
It can be, I am not sure either,
since I never know the reason behind why I am so in love with it, once upon a time.

No more like it?
Of course not.
Still loving it, but not as much as previously.
Feeling will fade, for whoever, whichever, and whatever.
Don't said you won't, I am sure you tell lie.
Even old man who cigarette-obsessed will stop smoke in the end of the day.
He will die one day, right? Confirm.
In this case, the feeling not even got that chance to fade,
instead gone with the last breath.

Considering the money I going to spent on it,
I start reluctant and hesitate a lot before I decide to watch a movie.
To be frank, I wanted to watch 3D,
as there are really bunch of movies will only be fun-to-watch,
if it is watch in 3D.
F*** the director.
Watch Alice in Wonderland, Clash of the titans, How to train your dragon,
to name a few.
How to train your dragon is still okay for the storyline,
but I am sure it will be super duper fun if it is seen in 3D.

3D is just really expensive, and it is only available in few places.
From the point of economic, my economic I am saying, it is really not cost-effective.
Imagine the petrols money I going to use up every time I step on the pedal if I happen to drive, the tickets of LRT, KTM or whatsoever public transport that I going to pay if first option is not available and the movie tickets which cost almost RM20 for each of it!
Not to forget the popcorn and the drinks!
I really "ng se dak"(tak sampai hati-not willing-bu she de) to spent that amount of cash.
I can get something else instead.
Not only a thing, but things.

Too long winded this time, I assume.
End the story. ~.~
